Planting With a Little Help From Friends
May 6th was a beautiful day to be planting another 1000 trees! Something new this spring was Kawartha Land Trust volunteers coming out to help plant. What we also loved were some planters bringing their children. Our hearts fill with joy to see the little ones plant trees that will grow along with them. And because the land is protected, they can return to see their new tree friends for years to come!
Thank you to Sheidow Farm for the spectacular property and hospitality. And to all the volunteer planters that made our day.
Next planting is back at Sheidow Farm September 23rd. This time we’ll welcome 2 cadet corps to assist with the planting of 1000 more trees!
