Happy Hot July!
First some bumps in the road. Recently we weren’t successful in getting funding from two 100 Men organizations. What we learned is that there are a lot of local organizations deserving of funding. Trees are important, but so are food banks!
We decided for this fall to do a smaller planting with an education component for the kids. Since making that decision we’ve found a farm to plant 200-300 trees. Best of all, they are also an Eco farm that loves to educate! And if people want to buy bigger trees, name them and come visit them, they’ll be able to do that too! More details to come.
We’ve also found a local seedling farm that also carries larger trees. We’re just waiting on the pricing list.
We’ll be starting the fund raising soon. There may still be opportunity to get matching funding. We’ll let you know!
